"Dynasty"

It's official. Bill Belichick is the new Blake Carrington.

It was a close game, but the Eagles weren't able to take more advantage of the downfield passing game. I'm totally surprised at how big a factor T.O. was, and how bad the Eagles running game was.

We'll break down more about the game in the next BDFL podcast.

A dynasty? I disagree. 3-for-3, sure. 4-for-5, sure. But not 3-for-4.

Of course, that's not the most ridiculous assertion of a dynasty - I remember ESPN asking if the Devils' three Stanley Cups in nine years was a dynasty...

The D-word's been thrown around so much (notice that I quoted it in the title) that it's lost a bit of value.

3-for-4 is certainly a feat; keeping a core group of players together for 4 years is a feat unto itself. But the Patriots have had so much success as of late, guys like Bruschi would rather stay there and get paid less than move around the NFL. That certainly helps matters.

Yes! :)
