Drew Lands In Dallas

Cowboys reunite Bledsoe, Parcells

Apparently Drew (and/or his agent) made the right call in asking to be released from the Bills. From the looks of things, he will go to Dallas as the Cowboys' unquestioned starter. It should be interesting to see how his play in the coming season compares to Testaverde's performance last season. Both are pocket passers, although I would assume we'll see more downfield passing from the Cowboys this season.

Comments

When I first heard this was being considered, a few days ago, I seriously wondered about the move. But I watched Henson play this season and I do not think the guy will ever be a good pro quarterback. Dallas needs to think seriously about drafting or trading for a quarterback one of these years.

I believe Dallas is looking right now to first find a big play running back or receiver while keeping their salaries in a position to make a big move upon finding the back or receiver of their dreams. We'll see how this plan unfolds and if indeed this is what Jones, Parcells and the others in Dallas are thinking.
