Le Tour de France

My dad has been a Tour de France fan as far back as I can remember, and it's rubbing off on me this year. After watching some of the coverage of the first few stages on OLN while visiting my parents this weekend, I'm now checking the web for updates.

Lance Armstrong's USPS team won today's team time trial and he's now wearing the yellow jersey. Cool.

Comments

I have been keeping myself from posting anything on Armstrong as I fear I will jinx him. I have followed the Tour De France since Lemond put it on the American map. I was amazed during the years Indurain won 5, climbing the mountains breathing only through his nose psyching out competitors. Never did I think we would see a cyclist that amazing, little did I realize the wait would be short.

Armstrong is even more amazing, anyone that does not think this guy deserves athlete of the year has no idea what just completing the Tour De France demands from a person. If he wins this year, and I truly know he will unless a crash or fall would occur, he will of completed a task that you could easily bet will never be seen again. Six wins is amazing, six in a row is inhuman. Go Lance Go!
