Weekend Update

Took a few days off from blogging since we made (too short of a) trip to Buffalo this weekend to see family.

Don scooped me on the news of Alex Lifeson's New Year's Eve debacle. I can't say I can't believe it, but the amount of speculation this is generating on the Rush forums I read is amazing.

My Foobar2000 WCYG source crashed for the first time while I was out of town, so I'm going to look at upgrading to the new version 0.7.7a soon. I tried using Winamp5 as the stream source last night and it sounded good for a while, but then it got to an I Mother Earth song and broadcasted very loud static. Back to FB2K for now.

I've got some ideas for a tagline and ad spots/station IDs for Icecast. I've only found these (see the bottom of the linked page) doing a Google search; I'm not sure if anyone else out there has produced any. I'd like to give back to Xiph for the cool technology they've freely released.

I got three out of four football picks right for the weekend. I predicted a Denver upset of Indianapolis that didn't happen by a longshot. The Colts are for real. I think they can beat KC at Arrowhead next week. However, my Pats-Eagles Super Bowl prediction still stands.
