MMIV, WCYG

Yep it's here... Happy New Year.

I played around with WCYG a little earlier today. I'm continuing to add songs to the station and I'm resurrecting my playlist-generating Python script to help me get back to using a playlist-based source as opposed to randomly picking songs on the fly. I haven't found a way to do the kind of programmatic shuffling I'd like to with Foobar2000. Also, with a playlist I can periodically put in station IDs and the like.

Playing with streaming is fun even if you're the only listener.

I'd listen if I could get WA5 to receive the stream. Every so often, I go back and try again, and the result is the same - it continually states that it's buffering, but doesn't actually start playing anything. If you get a chance to play with it, let me know.

I listen occasionally too. We block streaming media here where I work so I can't listen here. Just when I have the time at home.

I believe the new release of WinAmp 5 worked for me. I used FooBar initially. I will give both a go tonight and see how they work.

I got Winamp5 to work from home and off-site as configured with just minimal rebuffers. You might want to increase the buffer size a little, Citrus.

Foobar2000 is still the best quality player audio-wise, IMHO. Winamp5 has nice eye candy, though.

OK, in the dumb questions department - do I have the right address for the feed? What is it currently? You haven't posted it terribly recently, and I may be doing something as dumb as putting in the wrong address. Foobar2000 is being a pain in the neck as well, but a slightly more robust pain in the neck.

Sent you the address in email earlier today, but I just checked my server and some file moves I did screwed things up and the stream was down. It's back up now!
