Mug Shots

I'm on Yahoo! Sports' NFL pages a lot, and noticed quite a few player photos that look like they were taken under duress:

           

C'mon, guys! Many of the other players' photos are a bit more jovial, even if they had bad hair days:

Tom Brady has a bad hair day in every photo I see. He should shave his head.

I remember when they would show the live shots on Monday Night Football. Whomever was filming them would almost always get the guy to laugh. I think a few linemen now and then would fight the urge to smile, but it was rare. They do not still do that do they? I have not caught the beginning of MNF all season.

During the MNF starting player introductions, I see a mix of moods from the different players. Some try to get cute and say their high school as opposed to their college. Sometimes a player's "info screen" during the game will feature a video clip of them, and I see many players take that opportunity to smile.

Jamal Lewis' picture inspired me the most to make this post. The first time I saw it I thought "was he in a lineup when they took that?" ;)
