Rush In Rio At The Movies

Rush.com has published the cities where local Regal Theaters will be showing Rush In Rio starting October 21. Harrisburg isn't one of them, but it looks like a trip down to the Baltimore area might be a possibility. I think I'll be impressed enough by the DVD itself to avoid the 3-4 hours of driving required to see it in a theater.

One thing that I'm hoping the theater exhibition doesn't mean is that the DVD will be 24p and not 30i. I prefer live video vs. film for watching live music. A Show Of Hands holds up well as film, but does anyone remember the 12 fps nightmare that was Operation: Livecrime? I remember the video looking so jerky that it distracted me from the music. Good thing they included the CD in the boxed set. O:L is the only Queensryche title that I've ever resold.

Maybe you can come visit. :)

Regal seems to be doing a lot of stuff like this - they're also showing The Grateful Dead Movie in various theaters next month. Wonder if we'll ever get Yessongs.

We'll see. Melissa laughed at me when I mentioned traveling to see it in a theater. ;)

Besides, you owe us a visit!

Yep - we do owe you a visit. We're two weeks away from closing on our house - once that's done I'll have a better idea of what our schedules will look like.
