GeekCam Online

In an attempt to further diversify my site, I've added a current webcam image from home to the rightboxes. Read on to find out how I'm doing it.

I have a Kodak Webcam attached to my main system at home (Earthshine) that I use with NetMeeting, but I haven't done much else with it. Since we leave Earthshine on most of the time, I figured I'd see if I could find a decent, free image retrieval program that would work with the webcam. I had used a free version of SpyCam a few years ago to archive images of Ryan in his crib as a newborn, but the current version is shareware. I looked out on SourceForge and found Dorgem, a feature-packed open-source solution. I installed it last night and in 10 minutes had it up and running.
Hopefully this won't get me into any trouble!
