The State of WCYG

Unfortunately, over the weekend, my "old faithful" server, Cosmic, bit the dust. I think its power supply is dead, and I've replaced it once before. Since I refuse to put any money into it (it's a home-built dual P2-300 machine I put together about 5 years ago), I'm going to disassemble it and try to sell some of the parts.
For giggles, here's a parts list:

  • Two Pentium II 300MHz processors (retail version with integrated heat sink/fan)
  • Tyan Thunder2 ATX mainboard (S1696DLUA) (Based on Intel 440LX chipset; includes integrated Adaptec 3940UW SCSI controller)
  • Plextor 12/20PLEX SCSI CD-ROM
  • JVC XR-W2020 6x/2x CD-Recorder (Yep, this is pretty old)
Everything else in the box isn't worth much of anything. I have a taker on the case, I think.
How does this relate to WCYG? Well, this site is now running on Maestro, which had been crashing every couple of days when it was serving out WCYG. Until I can rebuild it fresh, I'm opting to not run WCYG (Winamp 2.81/Oddcast/Icecast2) so the server will be as stable as possible. I don't know that WCYG has a great many listeners anyways, so it probably doesn't matter to anyone but me. ;)
Feel free to chime in if you disagree.
