Hope everyone reading this is having a happy 2003 so far. My holidays have been excellent - I was off work for the last two weeks, returning to the office on Monday.
I received a lot of great presents this year:
My wife got me some nice new shirts, five different flavors of gourmet coffee, the Star Trek III Collector's Edition DVD, the new Yes Symphonic DVD, and a coffee-table book on the making of The Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy.
My Mom and Dad got me a huge bag of Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee beans (and I do mean huge), a nice Eddie Bauer Rugby, and the Back To The Future Trilogy Widescreen DVD set
I received a few gifts from my in-laws around Thanksgiving, including some nice shirts and a book on astronomy. I promise to get the telescope out more this year, as it gets warmer!
I'm really looking forward to the NFL playoffs. I think an All-Pennsylvania Super Bowl is a real possibility this year. The Eagles have a very good chance of making it there, but the Steelers would face a very tough matchup against either the Titans or the Raiders. Of course, they have to beat the Browns first!
Here are my playoff picks for this week:
Jets over the Colts
Packers over the Falcons
Steelers over the Browns
Giants over the 49ers (the inaugural game of this season is a distant memory)
